Food & Drink at Events

Food & Drink at Events

Showcasing local produce, and the people who make it

Food and drink is the part people remember. We build offerings designed around the place the event is in, and the producers who make it worth travelling for.

Not catering as an afterthought, but a food and drink offering designed around the place the event is in.

We put local producers, makers and suppliers in front of visitors: street food, farmers’ markets, retail and craft, hospitality and formal catering. We know Scotland’s producers, we know what travels and what does not, and we know how to make it work operationally on a field in August.

An event is one of the best shop windows a local producer will ever get. Done well, the food offering raises the quality of the whole event, keeps spend in the area, and sends people home talking about something they tasted.

Credentials

We know this sector properly

Jemma is a Scotland Food Tourism Ambassador, was Lead for Food Tourism at Scotland Food & Drink, and ran the Scottish Borders Food & Drink Network from 2010 to 2015. She knows most producers in the South of Scotland personally.

Working With Partners

Built and promoted together

Many of these events only work because of partnership. We work with local authorities, destination organisations, regional food groups, producers, landowners and community groups to build and promote an event, and to make sure everyone gets something out of it.
