Jemma Reid – JR Events & Sales
Jemma Reid was brought up in the hospitality industry and has worked her entire career in hospitality, events, tourism, travel, sales and food and drink, to which she has an enormous passion.
This has taken her across the globe, having initially worked for a DMC organising large international events and incentive trips. Jemma has worked across the UK in leading hotels and venues running their events and driving sales before moving back to Edinburgh, where she worked with Prestige Scotland as their National Sales & Account Manager.
In 2010, Jemma set up JR Events & Sales and is a tourism professional with over two decades of experience. Jemma boasts a track record of success in project management, destination and product development, marketing, travel trade, events, and sales. Through her collaborative efforts with local, regional, and national businesses and stakeholders, she is driven by an unwavering passion for growth, innovation, and excellence, making a tangible impact on businesses and destinations.
Jemma is one of Scotland’s Food Tourism ambassadors, showcasing her commitment to promoting Scotland as a leading food tourism destination. Her contributions to the tourism industry have been recognised through her inclusion in Scotland’s Top 100 Women in Tourism for two consecutive years, along with numerous accolades for her dedication to tourism and industry initiatives.
